Quamby House
The Design | Bathroom
This compact 2×2.5m bathroom was re-planned with a direct, efficient layout anchored to the central sash window. Nude-toned Moroccan tessellated tiles introduce heritage warmth, while classic white subway tiles wrap the lower walls and transition to tonal paint above, amplifying height. The result is a calm, timeless, and carefully composed space.
The Design | Lounge Room
Curtains were replaced with Bermuda-style Roman blinds, detailed with a forest green vertical ribbon for a tailored finish framing the tall French door frames. Tub chairs were reupholstered in Foxy fabric on a soft latte background, with matching cushions backed in forest green velvet to unify the scheme. On the long lounges, Foxy cushions are layered over Pony Rider’s lineal canvas cushions, adding texture and casual rhythm. A low sideboard behind the lounge provides space for sculpture and books, while a pair of turquoise lamps frame a striking Leon Pericles collage—adding colour, symmetry, and a curated focal point.
The Design | Guest Bedroom
Opening onto the veranda loggia, this guest room is conceived as a relaxed yet elevated retreat. A tonal palette of navy stripes, saffron, tobacco, and layered blues introduces depth and warmth. A custom Walter G Luxor linen bedhead anchors the composition, paired with an antique bench and a Condessa tobacco armchair. The interplay of warm and cool tones, supported by artisanal textures, brings balance and quiet sophistication. Client-styled antiques add patina and narrative, grounding the room in its heritage context.
