With project experience and personal insight into designing country homes, Suzie offers an authentic, grounded design approach capturing the essence of the rural lifestyle.
Her life has now come full circle, moving to Young where Suzie met her husband years ago at the Burrangong Picnic Races!
Now settled, Suzie wants to share her design experience with local clients. Available to listen to and answer design questions, solve problems and create designs that go beyond the ordinary to extraordinary.
Suzie’s Background
Suzanne Sherwood, BA (Design), is the creative director of Green Line Interior Design, bringing 30 years of experience across corporate, retail, commercial, and residential projects. The studio began in a Balmain boatshed, with her first project designing a gymnasium in Bondi. The team grew to ten creatives, crafting retail branding for franchise food outlets, restaurants, shopping center refurbishments, and bespoke boutiques.
After relocating with her husband Nick to a hay farm in Camden, Suzie shifted her focus to projects across the Southern Highlands and Goulburn—designing country homes, cafes, clubs and pubs. She curated the Style Pavilion and Country Bar - pop up events at the Camden Show. Living the rural life herself gave her firsthand insight into what really matters in a country home—where the mudroom is essential and everyone comes in through the back door!
Following drought, fires and floods, Suzie and Nick sold the farm and settled on a stone homestead in an olive grove near Young. Needing restoration of the pise stables and a rebuild of the original stone pub and bathroom – it is the perfect project for them.
Design Approach
Suzie takes a collaborative, hands-on approach to design—guiding clients through plans, ideas, and details in a clear, down-to-earth way. She draws inspiration from the site surrounding landscape and classic design principles, starting each project with a simple sketch to explore how the design can unfold.
She loves a fresh piece of paper and a marker pen!
